Here,
With the ashen ground
And the leaves underfoot
As the soft pitter-patter
Of dripping branches
Leaves me dancing
Breathless
Yet I'm really gone
Pastthe frozen treetops
That yearn for warmth
Past the grainy image
Of a struggling town nestled
In forgotten hills
Past the clouds, moon,
And stars
To a place before time
Where I find myself
Here.
