im not sure if you willlike the answer, but the peoms i write are mainly about my own inner termoil and abuse this poem specifically is about me trying to overcome the depression that has come with the mental and emotinal abuse its about staying strong and being brave like the cat(my own cat has helped me alot, and i love them alot) to "bat" it away the "mouse" wich is sortof a metaphor for the me that awile ago was being crushed by depression
