His forever sore expression
Two days before she knew
His body slumped, his hands were cold
His heart crisscrossed in locks
Two days before she knew
Her kiss was mess with teary eyes
She didn't know that she had done nothing wrong
Two days before she knew
Was it more than just an introspective week?
The quiver in his voice said 'yes'
Two days before she knew
Was he hiding something?
Of course he was
It was two days before she knew
He was fatherless
