To My Own Eye

To the public eye, I’m
vivacious pink—
always cheery and smiling,
optimistic and making new friends!
To the private eye, I’m
pale yellow—
still happy, yet easy to read,
scared of judgment and jealousy!
To my own eye, I’m
swirled pink and yellow—
I’m always ready to enjoy
the present!
