and back to life brings pain

you promised me the sun and stars,
and i could believe it when
we spent all our time chasing fantasies
but now i’m lost [feeling like drowning]
screaming for all you have denied me
[and for the rest of my life, i will face this sea
and jump ship alone]

Quite a spectacular whim I'd say. I'm really loving reading your poetry :) And like Mckay said, "AWESOME first line."

I love poems that come out of nowhere, somewhere but subconciously. Title's great: it speaks for itself. I love the beginning: "you promised me the sun and/ stars"—beautiful line.
