Freedom.
The word softly tiptoes
Across my tongue.
I let it dance there for a while.
I rattle off a few clichés.
Free as a bird?
No.
Free as the wind?
Probably not.
I squint hard,
And contemplate harder.
Perhaps,
The meaning
Is piece of mind.
For your whole mind
Can’t possibly be
Free.
