fading
it makes me sad to think
that my dream will become reality
and I will no longer live
at the house at the end of the street
with the red door
that the swing set I used to play on
when I was little
will no longer be mine
another 3 year old girl
will move into my pink bedroom
and make it her own
it makes me sad to think
that this town so familiar to me
will soon just be
a distant memory
