When I first heard all about
what happened on that day,
I could not believe what I had heard;
my mind was in dismay.

Then came the speeches,
videos and more,
so I came to believe it,
the scene filled with blood and gore.

Soon after, I watched the tributes
saluting those who have fallen.
So I decided I needed to help,
I need to join in.

So I wrote this piece with all my heart
to honor all those dead,
about when I first heard about what happened;
when my mind was in dismay.

I hope that you, like me,
will help all those harmed.
By writing this, I hope that you will
help them arm-in-arm.
