The Lost Mind
you're cold,
numb,
disbelieving,
trembling inside.
concern,
a warm touch of sympathy.
you run,
keep running.
biting wind,
no love,
no hope,
no compassion.
it's too cold now
and you feel again;
remorse,
pain.
red
blaring noises,
blinding lights,
confusion.
no breath
just silence
no air left,
keep breathing.
cautious voices,
angry screens,
loud men.
stagger,
stumble,
you wonder
whether tomorrow
really exists.
