"To love is to surpass one's self."

I saw her turn into a ghost
and slowly flicker way

She whispered loud, but said not much
Before I watched her fade

The rain was humming on a seal
Drumming in my mind

The rhythm sparse, the logic gone
The purpose of it swayed

I felt a feeling in my bones
That didn't have a name

The strangest, re-occurring thought
An image in my brain

The ghost was calling out to me
In the blackest part of night

I went up to the doorway
But there wasn't one in sight

Woah, absolutely amazing poem! The imagery, rhyme and suspense were all very effectively used
