Angel on Your Shoulder
To the innocence of an outsider she’s perfectly sweet
It’s normal of course, the order must be kept intact or else everything will fall
So she’ll tell you what to do, but you’ll forget that they’re orders
It’s hypnotic
You’re so, so sure that it’s what you want; it’s what you need to do although you’re unsure why
But surely she’s there, leaning over your shoulder, making sure everything goes perfectly to her little plan
You don’t know how much she’ll make you lose
Your faith, your status, your love, your humanity;
You don’t know she’s even there.
