i've watered it with warm
summer raindrops and tears -

i've stabbed it with sorrow
and drowned it in fears -

i've fed it my longings
and left-over dreams -

there it lies, barely beating
and ripped at the seams.

I know this pain as well. I think I'm feeling it right now, actually. The imagery you paint with your descriptive words create a live portrait in my head. Beautiful.
