Sitting on the docks
a wavering orb
reflected upon the rippling surface
gurgling water
accompanied by a chorus of crickets
staring at a small fish
racing ahead
leaving the others in its wake
the water beckons me
with it's song
Seemingly calm on the surface
but I know better
the current rushes and flows
to many places unknown
