On the spool of yarn.
The over dosage of Sudafed
That didn’t do a darn.

Alone, the stubborn bird
That refuses to fly.
That can’t hear God's word,
And watches herself slowly die.

Alone, dreams scattered
A stone weighing down the sword,
A walking eagle, wings and pride tattered
A land left lonely and unexplored.

Alone, the dirty game piece,
Standing by the new.
A broken olive branch of peace,
The symbol proving untrue.
