Favorite Quote:
"A laugh is a smile that bursts."

Alone, on the tip of a mountain,
Screaming for unheard avail,
Daniel in the lion’s den.
Sadness is my tale.

Alone, in the vast sea,
Of many a fish,
Under lock and key,
Hope is merely a wish.

Alone, only a droplet
Of water in the pan.
One bead of sweat.
Me, a forgotten man.

Alone, the one
Dead leaf on the tree.
Me, the prodigal son,
Who was left off the family tree.

Alone, in this world,
Of beautiful things.
The mermaid at the hull,
Just a puppet with strings.
Alone, the black stain
On the white lace.
Held back by a chain,
An awkward disgrace.

Alone, one thread
On the spool of yarn.
The over dosage of Sudafed
That didn’t do a darn.

Alone, the stubborn bird
That refuses to fly.
That can’t hear God's word,
And watches herself slowly die.

Alone, dreams scattered
A stone weighing down the sword,
A walking eagle, wings and pride tattered
A land left lonely and unexplored.

Alone, the dirty game piece,
Standing by the new.
A broken olive branch of peace,
The symbol proving untrue.

Alone, in somebody’s hands
That aren’t mine.
Life of reprimands,
I walk without fearless opine.

Alone.
