The Leaf's Journey

Twirling down
Spiraling towards the forest floor
The wind picks up
And it blows away.
Over to the town
With it's neat lawns and swimming pools
The leaf skims the water
Before getting breezed away
Into the city
With its flashing lights and tumultuous crowds
The spiraling continues
And a sharp gust blasts it away.
Here the leaf
Feels at home
As it touches ground
It knows it's back where it began.
