R.I.P. Katelyn Norman

We lost you on March 29, 2013
We lost you when you were just a teen
You fought millions of battles every day
Hoping against hope that you’d be okay
When diagnosed with bone cancer
The band Of Mice & Men was the answer
Their music helped pull you through
Their lyrics spoke to you, clear and true

When we lost you on that fateful morning
Every single soul was grieving and mourning
Katelyn, we all love you and will miss you dearly
It’s not fair that you had to leave early
But we know that you’ll visit Mama Carlile,
And maybe run into Mitch too
Rock out with all the people who once were above you
In Heaven, you will rest up in the clouds
Our sorrow for you will still ring loud

Austin got a tattoo of your name below his knee
Letting you know that in his heart you will never leave
All the rest of the members will remember you too
Don’t forget, Katelyn, that we all love you
Second & Sebring was written for Austin’s mom
But now I think you have a special place in that song

A thousand tears will continue to fall from our face
And in ten years, we’ll still remember you like we do today
R.I.P. Katelyn Norman, you will forever remain in our hearts
You were part of the Of Mice & Men family from the start
