Words of hate and words of poison,
Harm each living thing,
Words of love and words of kindness,
Makes all wish to sing.

Use not words that inject pain,
Nor sound rough on thy tongue,
Do use words of beauty living,
Help heal what all hath done.

If words of harm and words of anger,
Do not make thee blush,
Then perhaps it’s thee that needs to change,
Not thou whose blood did rush.

Many words we use now,
Can harm each living thing,
Few there are that can still,
Make all wish to sing.

Words of hate and words of poison,
Bring not love nor laughter,
Words of love and words of kindness,
Bring all happily ever after.
