I must be quiet coming home so late at night,
Making sure not to leave muddy evidence of my drunken return.
Under only the moonlight peeking through the windows I
Return to the bedroom to see her still there
Dreaming of some wonderful things I’m sure.
Every part of me aches to apologize,
Remembering that fight we had last month.
Even though she has been ignoring me since then,
Decisions not to make it worse
Help me keep my composure so that
Every night I can still
Return to bed with her.

The author's comments:
I wanted to create something about a man who is insane and ended up eating his family or lives with someone who is dead and the latter was put in use here, i also decided to add something to the poem by making the first letters of the lines spell out the truth behind his point of veiw.
