"We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars." -Oscar Wilde

Poetry
is important
no one reads it anymore
is that why our economy is going down?
my head spinning
red and green numbers
Christmastime for wall street
songs float by
monsters
and men
attack my dreams at night
i feel
that math is unimportant
i fell
into wonderland
when i read between the lines
drugged and sleeping
the population
does not notice
one grumpy old man
and his harassment
America
leave Casey Anthony alone
magazine covers
promote our culture
long noodles of Italian pasta
wrap around our necks
strangling out the idea
that we are supreme
the homeless
with their cardboard signs
roaming the streets
looking
for what?
the united states
billions in debt
if dead babies were dollars
i would be rich.
