SunShift
If I could fly on the wings of the sun,
I would be victorious,
Or strong,
Or liberated.
My window makes a relief through that
Solid Wall that is
A house and
A darkening shade.
Wait, wait! Hurry before you
Miss it.
Can you see that little drop of sun?
Look! It came and
Perched on my collarbone.
Before the whole sun-pool
Sank.
Now there are rain-drops,
Or are they tears?
Well, they are resting
On the side of my nose.
While dusk is sitting on my chest.
Now my window is only
A portal to drown in.
Black near-night.
Do you see? I only sink in it.
If I could fly on the wings of the sun.
