There’s bitterness
in the air
from the path
he chose to take.
There’s cries
and screams
in the dark
from his absence
in the night.
The ghosts
pretend to be
afraid;
afraid of what
used to be.
And yet
there’s no more
Air
no more
Life
no more
Fear
because he has
moved on.
