- What Matters
I am one of many, outside we are all the same
But inside we are all different.
Within me I hold a thousand memories, captured at an instant.
A smile, a laugh, a first, a last
Old friends, new friends, family too
Little hands grow bigger
Your favorite dress is replaced with jeans
Crooked teeth become a beautiful smile
A family portrait beams with love
But now everything has changed.
I do not mean to bring such emotions,
To the memory of things ended or friends forgotten.
I do not hold emotion, I only hold these pictures.
If a picture is worth a thousand words
Then I am worth a million.
