"Don't worry. You're just as sane as I am."
-Luna Lovegood

Hear me out, I’m not a kid anymore
I’ve grown up, for the record
And even though it’s hard, I know
Though I’ve got hardly anything to show
It doesn’t mean I’m not going somewhere.

I may not drive or work much
But don’t just use that to judge
I study hard so I can get a degree
And have my family be proud of me
So I can make a name for myself.

And I’m still trying to figure out who I am
But that doesn’t mean I don’t have a plan
I do what I have to just to get by
And what can I show for it?

I’ve got love if yours is equal
True friends among artificial people
A great family so I’m never alone
With always a place that I can call my home
They’re there for me when I need it most.

I’m not perfect and I know that
And sometimes I could just snap
But things are getting better with time
And I know it’ll be one hell of a climb
But it’ll be worth every minute I spend.

I’m still figuring myself out
And I like the person the experiences have brought about
I do what I do for love, life, faith, and happiness
And I’ve got a lot to show for it.

It’s my life and I plan on living it.

Learning to figure out who you are is one of the hardest things to do
