In an addict's mind

Yes, I am an addict
Not because I like the tobacco in my lungs...
but there is something poetic
about the coils of smoke
unfurling around,
Spiraling to form a new life
in its own right.

Yes, I am an addict
Not because the usual cigarette
makes me bond with more people than
I know in my entire life,
But, the fog that surrounds me
makes me head, satisfied
in a way I can't explain.

Yes, I am an addict.
Not because the labyrinth of blackness
around me would render me
hopeless and ultimately, dead.
But because it makes me feel...
I really have something in me,
that is capable of dying...again!

Yes, I am an addict.
But, the question is..
Can you help me?

I a m a usual smoker and I feel the same way about the smoke. I am just not a addict, but I love the poem.

I feel exactly the same way as you, there is something so romantic/appealing/fascinating about breathing in and out smoke.
