No...
Why aren't you moved by me?
When my shoulders shake with a whisper that is a sob,
Doesn't your hand want to come softly to my back?
No.
Not my back, or my heart-hurt.
I dropped a tiny tear onto your cheek...
And in it was a message
That said
"Come and catch the next tear with your finger"
Your finger is a lighthouse beacon saviour.
But no, you didn't.
No.
I'm sorry,
I'm sorry,
I'm sorry.
IwaswrongIwaswrongIwaswrong.
Looking condemnation at me again and again
Will that make it run away?
No.
Can someone tie me in their arms,
Their embrace, their love-circle,
And murmur in a way that is soft, like a kiss
Or a cloud,
"because it is alright you should have time that is quiet now"
No.
Grief does not move, look me in the eyes
And I'll see your soul and you will see my soul
Because love is the bridge between us,
And if my soul is seen
And if it is before your heart
Can you refuse to be moved by me?
If you love me
(and you do) then
No.
