The world is strange, if you don't want to shatter, be strange too. (G.F)

I can't remember when we met,
neither the first words you said.
Know it's been earlier than you ever guessed.
Told you, you were wrong,
found that I wasn't right.
But time changed things over night.

You said “'til our shovels see ground”.
A gray piece of concrete was what we finally found.

I remember this one day in grade two in Maths,
thought I was talented,
but you finished the task earlier than I did.

You had a great sandpit,
me not.
I was always jealous,
you always forgot.

Pickin' flowers,
playin' knight
Oh, what a beautiful time.

I need to confess that I miss you so bad.

Well,
what was once the same in your hearts,
was what time finally used
to tear our friendship apart.

I guess this poem is pretty self explaining. It's for my kindergarten friend, we still see each other regular but it's not the same than it once was anymore.
Letting go belongs to the life.
