"Scenery without solace is meaningless." -The Five People You Meet In Heaven (Mitch Albom)

The Embers Danced
In the dying of their light
I watched them, Entranced.
As they Shone and lost their might.

I wish to be the dying light of an ember.
To shine so beautifully
for just a second, and then never.
To most this is silly.

To have my moment
and burn out,
and into ashes I went!
This, My Friends, is what life is all about.

About one moment,
of sublime happiness.
That will carry you for years,
A memory never broken, never bent.
Never shorn with tears and sadness.

One moment, can be perfect.
Several can be devastating.
Happiness can have a harsh effect.
Some think not of consequences, so willing.
To destroy something that can never resurrect.

I wish to be the dying light of an ember.
To be breathtaking, and utterly lovely.
For a just an infinite moment in time, One to always remember.
Then disappear, as if you'd never seen me.

I like it, it has a weird bouncy, fun rythmn though that kind of takes away from how serious of a poem it is
