Swirling shadows
Come to eat my heart
They creep in
Through the cracks
In my smile

And I wonder,
Should I stop them?
No.
Let them engulf me
Eat me
Kill me.

An ominous silhouette hangs over my head
Why do I keep it there?
I will tell you, my fortunate friend.
You think I’m too idle, too lethargic to undertake such a feat.
But I’ve tried.
And I’m tired
And no matter how god damn hard I try,
I never have enough breath to blow it away.

Why stay?
Why live?
Why march on this dull path day after day?
I would swear
Or scream;
There aren’t enough bleeps to clean my insides

Blood and guts
That’s all I am.
Dead, dead,
Empty of empathy.
So let them come
Let me die.

I’m homesick for a place I’ve never been.
Take me away; I don’t know where else to go
Why stay someplace you are so alone?

I’m just so tired
So
Damn
Tired.
