Shut your eyes and hold them tight
The world around dissolves with the twinkle of night
In the pitch black do you see a world of wonder
A place to escape in sheer paradise
In a wild place where happiness escapes
And anger is entrapped with bars of joy

Do you see with your eyes
That world with roses of love
Creatures of sea and land
Willing you to come an play?

Or might you say
You see with your heart
A place farther than that
Of where your mind can go?

A place that cannot be described with words
Only with the feelings of your soul
Deep within were the roots of happiness is
That of which causes love to grow
Not of sorrow or anger
Of which the black crow cries
But of dolphins swimming in the night
Their happiness within them grows
From their playfulness
To their exquisite love

Blackness is where my dreams go
Into the unknown
Will my mind forever search
For the lost cries of my dreams
Hidden in the dark

Close your eyes
For you might find
Sometimes dreams
Aren't always dreamt

So I will ask this question
If I do not dream of wonder
What is my dream?

The author's comments:
I wrote this peace because I find it just a little depressing and confusing of why I don't dream when I am asleep.
