When I saw you
It was chemistry.
I knew then we were meant to be
In equilibrium,
Like sodium and chloride
(But not so tart).
You were my dioxide; and
Our glance was the start
Of a homogeneous reaction,
An explosive combustion
Of neon and helium.
And we’d be like an element,
Completely inseparable.
And when you laid that rock-hard
Hunk of flawless,
Hexoctahedral carbon
Onto my finger,
I knew we would forever
Have triple bonds
To tie together our heartstrings.

I absolutely LOVE chemistry and love poems. This made me happy; it made me feel all bubbly inside. You combined two of my favorite things perfectly. Thank you.    ~Goss :)

Thank you!  I'm happy it could do that; it's what I was hoping for when I wrote it ^^ It's also really wonderful to know that it has this kind of lasting power, so double thank you ^~^

this is great, i dont care about ppl who say its unromantic, the point is that its not about sweetness but the feelings you have when youre with someone that ur attracted to, except said in a cute kinda way

I was not impressed with the poem, nor by the perspective of love. However, I believe it was well-written; overall I do not like the poem, though. Yet if writing is your passion, then good luck!
