When I saw you
It was chemistry.
I knew then we were meant to be
In equilibrium,
Like sodium and chloride
(But not so tart).
You were my dioxide; and
Our glance was the start
Of a homogeneous reaction,
An explosive combustion
Of neon and helium.
And we’d be like an element,
Completely inseparable.
And when you laid that rock-hard
Hunk of flawless,
Hexoctahedral carbon
Onto my finger,
I knew we would forever
Have triple bonds
To tie together our heartstrings.

I was not impressed with the poem, nor by the perspective of love. However, I believe it was well-written; overall I do not like the poem, though. Yet if writing is your passion, then good luck!

this poem is not my favorite, and i find it kind of weird.
but thats just my opinion.
a lot of other people seem to enjoy this, when i just don't even want to continue reading it.
just some constructive criticism .. try something new, as in possibly being a scientist not a writer.

I can't say it was really a love poem to normal people, but it would be if you really understand what you're reading. For me, I like how you use the scientific elements, though I found it hard to comprehend.

And, to answer soccer: give it time. You'll feel what's right and when to do it. I know that sounds terrible, but it'll work--usually your instincts and your conscience are right, at least that's what I've found.
....AH! Thanks, everyone!! ^//^
