Tenderly holding her to the ground
Her eyes droop like sad sunflowers too long away from the sun
Her ribcage traps a faint butterfly of a heartbeat
She stands tall, her glance defiant
A goddess of sorrows

Her devastation suits her

This is so sad D: why does everything I read by you give me the chills? But seriously, awesome. A lot of emotion in not many words. The last line of this reminds me of the title of that book I've never read, Mourning Becomes Electra (the title sounds awesome if you read it like Morning), and it is, like the rest of the piece, amazing :)
