Even though a clock doesn't work, people still look at it for time.

I have seen death take someone’s life.
I have seen a woman lose her child.
I have seen a man’s world come crashing down.
I have seen too many hearts get broken.
I have seen racism take hold of a man’s life.
I have seen war in a child’s heart.
I have seen a fiery rain beat down upon a woman.
I have seen a bird, flying ever so gently, be shot down.
I have seen a truck crash into a building.
Everything has a down side.
It’s time to focus on the good of all things.
I want to see flowers dance in the wind in the spring.
I want to see the world as a whole.
I want to see colors come together and dance in the sky.
I want to see a child being born.
I want to see the sun laugh onto the earth.
I want to be everywhere that there is love.
I want to float parallel to the ground.
Float past all the pain,
All the anger,
All the disappointment,
And all the depression.
I want to dance as if there will be no tomorrow.
I want to jump higher than the sky,
Past the moon,
And around the sun.
I want to smell the wonderful thing that is called fresh air.
I want to touch a cloud,
Lay on the cloud,
And never let it go.
I want to feel the flow of water on my skin while the sun is lightly holding me.
I want to smile bigger than the universe.
I want to reach out,
And hold love,
Hold it and pass it on like the air we breathe.
I want to celebrate life,
Celebrate after life after the life has passed.
I want to celebrate death,
Not mourn it.
I want to celebrate every beautiful waking moment I have.
I want to praise my friends and family.
I want to get happiness,
And joyful feelings when I see loved ones.
I want to touch a rose pedal wet from morning dew.
I want to see the world at its best.
I want…
Everything to be greater,
To be blessed,
To be peaceful.
A life of evil and pain,
Can be changed with a little love.

My teacher asked me to write an essay about what i wanted to do with my life. I really didn't feel like doing an essay so I started writing whatever came to mind. After I turned the essay in, he told me that I should start writing more often. Honestly I didn't think I could be relatively good at writing. My teacher kept pushing the idea of me writing so this was my very first piece.
