Mama Said No Good
Heart made of glass
Shattering to your touch.
Words taste of fire
Burning memories in my mind.
This love is free,
Like the birds caged in my sky.
Yet there is price to pay,
Permitted to be apart,
Love like it should,
But shouldn’t be.
Surely something,
Something should put out this fire,
Simmer us into awaited goodbyes.
But how possible is it,
When I love you,
And I hate that you love me.
