could it be
your gentle presence
that consumes me?
the way your skin inherits
a genuine glow
when you laugh,
your carelessly constructed
sentences,
and how you see this life
as a tunnel which leads
into the ultimate paradise.
or possibly
the way the sun relentlessly
kisses the frosty
baby grass
in the springtime
or
the relief of a tree
once the grip on its leaves
has died.
instead of
being so idealistic,
go find a way
to attain this
extreme
beauty that
everyone craves yet
never finds.
