I am on a island
Waves
Blue, rough, cold
Swirl and crash around me
How did I get here?
I am alone
No food
No water
No way to escape
Walls I can not see
Rise up around me
Trapping me
Hiding me
Silencing me
I am lost
No one knows I am gone
no one
is looking for me
no one misses me
I don’t know what to do
A steady stream
Runs down my cheek
Attempting to wash away the pain
But it is not strong enough
Nothing is strong enough
There are too many walls
Walls I built
To protect myself
But I built them too strong
They keep out new pain
But lock in the old pain
A good plan
executed too well.
