Living Skeletons

The leaves float down,
Leaving the trees bare whispers of life,
As the wind murmurs
To them, and through them.

Strong, fragile skeletons -
Like you.
They sway in the
Of the gentle breeze.

I watch,

As the skeletons
Swaying limb

And crashes
To the soft ground.
Its noise

Through my ears,

Then the sound
Into the floor,
Of the earth,

And is lost, forever,
Taking you with it.
