Broken Memories
Pictures tattooed into the mind,
Eating away your sanity,
A picturesque vanity,
Taking you from reality of which you are blind.
Your soul is inside out,
Your reasoning is ripped to shreds,
You attempt to preserve your heart instead,
You can't materialize a single shout.
They bring you to your knees,
You scream, "Let me go please!",
As they hand you over to insanity,
Nothing left for vanity.
As you reach the edge,
That hideous ledge,
You've come to realize,
Even through all the lies,
Happiness is on the other side,
The road you now fight to ride.
