"Every life is story. Make yours a best seller"

There’s no bracelet around my ankle.
I’m charged with no crime.
Yet I’m locked up without bail.
It’d be easier if I’d just have run away.

There’s no GPS chip to track me.
I’m a decent kid who has had a crap hand.
Yet I’m caged up like a criminal deserving to be punished.
I’ve been too busy to figure out where I’d go.

There’s no one to chase after me.
I’m too scared to take action.
Yet I’m the one being held hostage.
It’s too hard to bare these barbed wire walls.

There’s freedom just a couple years away
I’m worried I won’t be able to take them.
Yet I crave it all the same.
I've been under house arrest far too long.

This is a poem I wrote about what being grounded at my house is like. It's not just grounded it feels like house arrest.
