Ripped Apart

I'll sit next to the pyre
Of my long lost love.
My heart will burst into fire,
As I watch the ashes fly away like a dove.
She was all I had,
She was my whole heart.
It wasn't like a fad,
'Cuz now my heart's ripped apart.
All I wanted was her love,
I would have given her the world.
She fit me like a glove,
As we both twirled.
Our hearts intertwined,
We couldn't be beat.
When they saw us, others would wine,
"God, why can't I have that treat?"
But now she's gone,
No longer do I have my dove.
No longer will I be able to dawn,
That little thing called Love.
