Dear friend I think you know why I’m writing you,
It hurts to see what you do to you.
And the scars on your wrist won’t fade,
A constant reminder of what he did.
Dear friend I see you fighting every battle that’s inside of you,
With the pain written oh-so clearly on your face.
Dear friend your father was wrong to do what he did to you,
He was wrong to say what he said.
And as you cry yourself to sleep in your bed,
The only person who truly knows what you’re going through is in your head…
