He's Proud

*silence*
the sun comes up
*silence*
i see a figure in the distance
*snap*
i slowly pull the gun up
*breathe*
i sight in the deer
*breathe*
i squeeze the trigger
*click*
i look at my dad
*trembling*
he didn't load the gun
*shaking*
dad loads the gun
*breathe*
i sight in one the deer again
*breathe*
i squeeze the trigger again
*pop*
the deer drops to the ground
*grin*
tears stream down my face
*ears ring*
my dad grins
*i did it*
he's proud
i finally made him proud.
