The soft pale moon
Breathes upon my skin
As I sink deeper and deeper
Into isolation
It’s quiet here
And eerily peaceful
Just the kind of quiet
For the wondering mind
Life just stops
And the cosmic world
With her trivial problems
Evaporates in the sky
Just for a moment
I’m a feather in the wind
Light, graceful, majestic
Harmonious and free
But as the glistening stars
Start to dance up above
I’m reminded that this
Isolation cannot last
