Safe Place
There's a place I like to go.
Where birds can fly, and make a home.
Where no one can say goodbye.
And no one has a reason to cry.
There's a trail that I follow,
To Happiness that cannot hollow.
Green grass and blue skies,
All the more reason why.
When I'm sad, you'll find me here.
Smiling and laughing, with the cloudiness clear.
I'll have stayed here the entire day.
And wonder back, if I may.
This is my safe place,
Where I can wear a smile upon my face.
No trials are forgotten.
Only broken hearts are sewed back with cotton.
