Favorite Quote:
God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.

- Reinhold Niebuhr

It calls my heart from deep within
Pulling me to its sound
My hands long to feel its ivory and dance on its black keys
My soul is one with the music
Rejuvenating itself with melodic remedies
I close my eyes
My heart and soul well up
My fingers begin to move
Delicately touching each glossy key
Beautiful, harmonic, melodies
It rings out through my soul
Beethoven over and over again
My soul is peaceful, fulfilling its call to play
I know each pattern by heart as if it speaks
When the music fades all is well
My soul is fullfilled
My heart joyous

I love to play piano. I wrote this poem as a tribute to all great piano players. This poem is the portraying of how I think some of the great piano players may have felt as they played in their practice rooms or even in Carnegie Hall.
