Hands hold
Fingers fold
Knuckles knotted
Wrists rotted

The hands still hold

Muscles meeken
Whits weaken
Feet fail
Backs bail

Yet still the hands hold

Hair hues
Lips lose
Eyes exalt
Hearts halt

And yet still the hands hold
