I am from school five days a week
church every Sunday
with some free time in between

I am from chores
that must be completed
to have fun afterwards
vacuuming the entire house and
"doing things until they are done right"

I am from hours spent in my room,
doing homework
Dad working outside,
hands greasy or caked with dirt
Mom washing dishes, doing laundry,
cooking meals, running the household

I am from education being of high importance,
skipping school is out of the question,
music is a part of the family
practicing piano every night

I am from commitment, honesty, doing my best
doing what is right
being aware of what people think
of me.
