Things left Behind

Terpsichorean music,

smiles bright as day,

Clothes recieved as Christmas gifts

that once outgrown, were given away

Hours of piano practice,

videos of when he preformed,

callouses on his fingers,

the red carnation he adorned

Summers spent on tire swings,

long walks along the shore.

All these memories were left to rot

When the man went off to war
