Frustration and Frustration
and Anger and Confusion

And all of these feelings clenched around my lungs
so tight that when I do what I have to do to keep me alive

It Hurts

I walk to discover it hurts
I breathe to discover it stings

And I jump off the edge to discover there's no place I'd rather be

Let me fall to my knees in an empty room
Or shatter the glass that I've always looked through

Let me hear of Betrayal
and speak of Defeat

Let me be showered in tears of others
and have only myself to blame

Let me be

If I'm meant to fall
don't pick me up out of pity

Yet if I'm meant to stand,
don't claim me as a trophy

Let me be

And with iron chains breaking from my wrists
I will call out your name in disgust

As the one who has done everything they can
so see me where I am right now

To see me torn in the places that can't be sewn together

To leave me looking for the seams

Or to leave me looking for the tears

Because that's when it's worst...
When you don't know what's wrong.
