The Sky

The sky had
Dazzling stars
Stars that shone so bright
To light the night
And give a sense of hope
A sense of love
They shivered sparkles
Onto the world that looked up
In awe
The night sky blushed
Shades of navy, appreciative
Of the love she received
But one cold, still night
A voice announced
The sky was dull
And plain and lame and boring
The voice wasn’t impressed
And so the people agreed
So the sky wept tears
Tears that dribbled into the bleary
Foggy, monotonous world below
Where it collected in puddles
Puddles people stomped in
Spat at, drove through
And so the tears at last receded
But the town remained muddled
No one looked up at the sky
One night, on a hill, overlooking
A town so bleary
And saw the navy blue
Blinking and staring
But something was absent
Those glimmering, shimmering stars
Weren’t there anymore
All that was left were her sighs
But no one seemed to notice

Life isn't measured by the number of breaths you take, but by the moments which take your breath away.

You are only as strong as your weakest link.

Beautiful imagery! I loved it :)
